The United States Consulate in Tijuana shared this call
The Consulate General of the United States in Tijuana shared from its Facebook account an opportunity for all Mexican students: the Comexus call, aimed at those who wish to study some type of postgraduate degree in the United States.
This call closes on February 18 of this year and plans to support scholars with up to $ 25,000 annually. The school year would start in August 2022. This opportunity is aimed at practically all disciplines, except the clinic (medicine, dentistry, and veterinary medicine).
They announce from the official Comexus website that priority will be given to Science, Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, and studies on the United States. He also shared a list of who can NOT be accepted:
The following cannot be accepted to participate in the scholarship:
-Who already have acceptance at a university.
-Who has US residence or nationality.
-Former Fulbright-García Robles scholarship holders for master’s or doctorate degrees.
-Those who live, work or study in the United States.
-Those who wish additional support to continue with studies already begun in the United States.
-Those who have resided in the United States for more than one year, in the five years prior to the closing of the call.
-Those who have studied a bachelor’s degree – or a master’s degree – in the United States.
-Employees of the US Department of State and other agencies and organizations
On the other hand, the general requirements are the following:
-Average of at least 8 (this must be verified with a letter or final certificate of studies)
-Present current results of TOEFL (ITP, IBT), or IELTS (validity is 2 years). The minimum score is 550 on TOEFL ITP, 80 on TOEFL IBT, or 6.5 on IELTS.
-Present current and official results of the GRE exam (validity is 5 years). A minimum score of 152 in one of the GRE sections.
-Get a minimum of 55 points on the Comexus quality scale
-Three letters of recommendation in English to be filled out online in the corresponding application section
-Official course of each grade obtained: a letter signed and stamped by the Control Department School from your university.
-Title, degree certificate, or letter of commitment
to obtain a degree no later than March 2022, if selected -Justification test to obtain a scholarship
