Regional tourism arrives in Mazatlan to watch the Caribbean Series

Local hoteliers recognize that this baseball championship positions Mazatlán at high levels in the national and international sports context

Mazatlán, Sinaloa (Feb. 3, 2021). – The president of the Tres Islas Hotels Association, José Ramón Manguart Sánchez, acknowledged that with the 2021 Caribbean Series, more national tourism has arrived at this port with an occupancy of 62 percent on weekends and 40% on weekdays.

“From the Caribbean Series we know that due to the situation of the pandemic there are no conditions for there to be a large capacity, only 45 percent is allowed. Attendance is low, it must be said, and mostly regional tourism, ”he said.

“Right now we know that the issue of the pandemic generates limitations and what we have been proposing is that next year Mazatlán be given the headquarters again to be now a full host and prepare for the event without the limitations that exist today”, he added.

Manguart Sánchez, explained that as entrepreneurs they privilege health issues, in the understanding that there are certain restrictions, especially when international issues are involved.
