Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- For this close of the year, the Mazatlán hotel industry expects a good influx of tourism to the destination, with average occupancies of 68%.

Even this Tuesday, dozens of charter trucks began to arrive with hundreds of tourists who will say goodbye to 2020 and will receive 2021 in this vacation destination.

The Secretary of the National Chamber of Commerce, Service and Tourism in Mazatlán, Guillermo Romero Rodríguez, said that for this close of 2020 the arrival of many national tourists is expected, who take advantage of the sun and the beach to spend a family vacation

He recognized that this winter period, despite the fact that it is the high season for Canadian and American tourism, few international visitors arrive due to the restrictions that are in place in their countries due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Mazatlán is going to have a lot of tourism, a good end of the year is really expected, it is a really favored destination at the national level and mainly right now thanks to the national market, little abroad is coming to Mazatlan, but the national is the one that we are going to have the most tourism. have at the end of the year, “ said Romero Rodríguez.

He added that for this end of the year the tourists who will arrive at the port are from the states of Durango, Chihuahua, Torreón, Nuevo León, in addition to the Bajío and Sinaloa.

Mainly the tourists who will come during this week to say goodbye to the year are from the northern economic corridor, Jalisco and the Center and North of Sinaloa
