Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit, Mexico – While the travel industry waits for the COVID-19 restrictions to be lifted completely, the Riviera Nayarit has not stopped making news in domestic and international media, which have showcased this destination’s attractions to the world at large.
One of these is the prestigious luxury travel and lifestyle magazine Condé Nast Traveler, which has placed Mexico’s Pacific Treasure among the best destinations to visit in 2021 in both its United States and United Kingdom editions.
The first article, published in the UK edition, includes Sayulita on the list of “25 Best Places to go in the World to go on Holiday,” alluding to its climate and its charming, casual atmosphere with brightly colored designer boutiques and classic surfboard shops.
Another aspect highlighted by journalists Hazel Lubbock and Laura Chubb is the absence of large hotels, in favor of hippie-chic guesthouses: “It’s a quiet scene, with more waves and margaritas in the afternoon than yoga and cold pressed juice.”
The Best of The Best
The United States edition published a second article on December 1st in its “Best of” section, which includes Riviera Nayarit in the list of the “25 Best Destinations in the World to go on Holiday,” a list that is “realistic and inspiring,” according to the CNT editing team.
For this, they looked for destinations with new and interesting reasons to visit, places accessible to visitors, or places that were particularly affected by the pandemic, among which we can mention Lisbon, Portugal; Iceland; the island of Bermuda; Chiapas, Mexico; the coast of England; Ghana, Africa; Italy; Kyoto, Japan; and, of course, Riviera Nayarit.

She also highlights the ease of flying to the Riviera Nayarit and its excellent air connectivity to top cities in the United States via airlines including American, United, and Southwest to mention a few
“No matter where you’re dreaming of one thing’s for sure: We may not have jetted around much in 2020, but our appetite for travel, and the eagerness to get back on the road, hasn’t waned a week,” she said in closing.
