Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The permit holders of red and green taxis cannot be Ubers or DiDis, assured the delegate of Roads and Transportation in Mazatlán, José Vallejo Carrillo.

This, after a DiDi user, requested a ride through the company’s application, and a vehicle labeled as a red taxi came to the site.

“Taxis have their platform, they have platforms where they are promoted and advertised; they are neither DiDi nor Uber, they are platforms that they have established and provided the service both through radio and through platforms, and there is no irregular situation there” reported.

Vallejo Carrillo that under no circumstances can the services be mixed, since it is impossible for taxis to work on another platform due to the registration process in the system.

“If a person asks for Didi or Uber, he cannot arrive in a taxi … The vehicle comes on the platform, the driver’s name, the license plate number, he cannot take a taxi, if he asks for it at the taxi platform, he will a taxi is coming … They cannot cross or steal a sign to go instead of the uber, “the delegate emphasized.

It stated that since it is not recognized by the State, the service of platforms such as those mentioned above is the responsibility of whoever requests them, which represents a danger to the user’s safety.

“Here people ask for an Uber or a Didi that is not authorized, it is not recognized by the State to offer service … If you take an online app vehicle and you have a mishap, there we have no record of who it is nor what number it has, we have no control because it is not authorized, “he concluded.

The red and green taxi unions have their respective platforms, Tapysy Red and Apply Taxi, respectively
