Prosecutor’s Office secures 50 parrots and two ocelots in Chiapas

The Attorney General’s Office ( FGR ), through the Office of the Assistant Attorney for Regional Control, Criminal Procedures and Amparo in Chiapas, detained a person for his probable responsibility in the Commission of crimes against Biodiversity.

Well, the subject was brought to justice while illegally transferring 50 parrots and two tigrillos, for which he was accused of illegal transport of species.

Elements of the Federal Ministerial Police, attached to the branch in Palenque, Chiapas, began an investigation at the  Dos Bocas customs office, which is located in Catazajá, where they conducted routine checks on public and private transport.

Through its Twitter account, the FGR gave the details of the arrest, ensuring that when inspecting a bus with federal public service license plates, they found a plastic box and a wooden box inside.

In these boxes were the 50 green guayabera parrots and two ocelots, for which they detained Marco “M”, who was a passenger and who did not have any permit to transport the animals.

The accused and the insured animals were placed at the disposal of the Federal Public Ministry agent, who continues with the integration of the investigation folder.
