Neighbors requested the support of the Mayor and the State Governor

Mayor agrees to solve them

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Within the framework of the inauguration of Rafael Buelna Avenue, a group of residents of the El Toreo neighborhood requested support from the authorities to solve the age-old problem of flooding that affects the neighborhood, so the Mayor, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, pledged to solve the problem in 2021.

“It was necessary first to end the floods in the tourist area because Mazatlan lives on that, eats from that, I know they have suffered a lot but I don’t know right now, for many years I promise to solve that problem next year, whether I am here or not, ”he said.

Mayor Benítez Torres stressed that before completing his administration, he will seek to leave the project started and a manager who will follow up until it is fully concluded.

The first mayor highlighted that although it is not possible to avoid floods one hundred percent, he will seek to avoid accumulating the large amounts of water that housed the streets during the rains.

For their part, the residents expressed hope in this commitment, as they affirmed that they have fought for a solution without any response for years.
