For the second day in a row, on Saturday, November 14th, about a hundred hot air balloons will fly through the sky of León, Guanajuato at the start of the 19th edition of the International Balloon Festival.
Due to the pandemic, for the first time the event was held without public access, however it was taken to thousands of homes around the world through a broadcast on social media.
Mexican celebrities such as the renowned journalist Paola Rojas , show host Andrea Legarreta and actor Mauricio Mancera began the FIG Live broadcast at 06:30 am at the FIG Main Stage located at El Bosque Country Club.
Through the official social network accounts of the festival, the presence of viewers from Costa Rica, Australia, Guatemala, the United States, Spain, Germany, among many other countries, was registered.
Some of the most outstanding hot air balloons that took off on Sunday morning in León were The Matryoshka, Owl, Penguin Sherlock Holmes, Little Dog, Jupiterman, Baby Montster, My Deerling, La Gallina Pintadita, Basket Ball, Little Ball, and SpongeBob SquarePants.
Also on Saturday, November 14th, at about 7:00 p.m., the Magic Nights began, where dozens of balloons were inflated, and lit up to the rhythm of the lights and music. International DJ DEORRO took charge at 8:00 pm. DEORRO is one of the best DJs in the world according to the specialized magazine DJ MAG.
