Journalist Arturo Alba murdered in Chihuahua

Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua. On Thursday, October 29th, around 10:00 p.m., the journalist and host of the main newscast of TeleDiario, a local multimedia group, Arturo Alba Medina, was executed, the State Attorney General’s Office reported.

The also spokesman for the Ciudad Juárez Technological Institute received at least 12 gunshots when he was driving in his car, with Texas license plates, on Chapultepec Street in Ciudad Juarez Colonia Hidalgo.

Hours before and very close to this place a cyclist was attacked in the same way and so far they have not been any arrests related to the murder case of the journalist and TV News Show anchor man.

Arturo Alba worked years as a newscaster for XHIJ TV Channel 44, to later join the news staff of Entravision Univision Canal 26, a subsidiary of Univision.

He also worked as a spokesperson for the city of Sunland Park New Mexico, a position he left to return to Juárez.

He recently joined the Multimedios group’s roster as the host of the Telediario nightly news show in Ciudad Juárez.

Staff from the State Attorney General’s Office initiated the corresponding investigation, looking for evidence of the crime and videos of the homes near the site where the murder was committed, but as we already said, no arrests have been made in relation to this homicide so far.
