It is the supply line of the Casamata Tank, the leak was detected at 6:00 am on Monday, November 2, with which there are already three failures in this line so far in the current municipal administration.

“It is a fairly old pipeline, it has already thundered us three times in this administration, it is a line that goes under the median of Gabriel Leyva avenue so the pressure of the vehicular passage is ruled out, it is rather the fact that that the materials have already reached their useful life, unfortunately, it is a failure that affects a large sector of the city, but we have already begun to work to repair it, ”said Engineer Luis Gerardo Núñez Gutiérrez, in charge of the Jumapam General Management office.

Among the affected neighborhoods are Benito Juárez, Casas Economicas, Klein, Bahías, 12 de Mayo, Casa Redonda, Obrera, Francisco Solís, Montuosa, Chimizu, Reforma, Playa Sur, Lázaro Cárdenas, Los Pinos, Ferrocarrilera, Lomas del Mar, San Ángel, Independencia, Juan Carrasco, Estero, Insurgentes, Estadio, Casa Blanca, Tierra y Libertad, Palos Prietos, Tellería, and Flamingos, in addition to the Center.

The municipal official commented that despite being a holiday for the Jumapam Union, the special Swat Pipeline team of the Operations Management is already at the site of the failure, to carry out the corresponding repairs, in order for it to be restored. service as soon as possible.

Jumapam indicates that this problem is derived from the age of the network and recommends that Mazatlecos not carry out activities that require excessive use of water.
