Germany donates 876 thousand pesos to Mazatlan for the Covid Center

Mazatlán.- The Mazatlán City Council will receive from the Government of Germany a donation of 32,076 euros (876,470 Mexican pesos), which will be invested in the Center for Diagnosis and Attention of Covid-19, of the Municipal Hospital “Margarita Maza de Juárez ”.

Yesterday morning, in a virtual diplomatic meeting, Mayor Luis Guillermo Benitez Torres and municipal officials shared the strategies carried out by the Buenos Aires government to contain and combat the Sars-Cov-2 coronavirus and thanked the help.

Present at the meeting was Hannah Dewell, honorary liaison for the Sister City of Hamm in the Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism and Fisheries, who is a strong promoter of this donation and who also served as a translator in the videoconference.

The native of Hamm, works closely with the Sedectur to offer the Government of Mazatlán the appropriate calls that Germany launches for the benefit of its sister cities.

One of these calls is the call “Kommunales Corona solidarpaket”, which is an economic support against the coronavirus for Sister Cities, granted by the German Government through the federal Ministry of the Economy.

During the virtual meeting, a “coaching” of German doctors was also agreed, on the treatment, they are giving to the Covid-19 pandemic in their country, as well as an exchange of experiences and see the areas of opportunity between Germany and Mazatlán.
