They collect different types of waste in search of having a more beautiful Mazatlán than ever
MAZATLÁN._ With the aim of achieving a more beautiful Mazatlán than ever, this Saturday morning Jumapam staff carried out a cleaning day at Cerritos beach, in collaboration with the Beach Operator and Administrator.
Workers from the different managements that make up the Municipal Board of Drinking Water and Sewerage of Mazatlán joined efforts to ensure that a total of 105.3 kilos of garbage were removed from a strip of Cerritos beach of approximately 500 meters.
Engineer Luis Gerardo Núñez Gutiérrez, in charge of the Jumapam General Management office, commented that through activities like this one, the institution collaborates with the objectives of the municipal administration, headed by Chemist Benitez Torres, to make Mazatlán the best beach tourist destination, but also the best place to live and to achieve this, everyone can contribute with actions as simple as depositing the garbage in its place.
During the cleaning day, the Commercial Manager Diego Ávila Barrón and the Operations Manager Arturo Valverde Hidalgo were also present, to mark leadership with their work teams in the activity that contributes to improving the environment.
Jorge Contreras Núñez, director of the OAP, commented that this para-municipal daily fights a battle against the dirt of the coastal strip, for which the activity carried out this Saturday morning was very beneficial and invited more organizations and citizens to join the activities.
