In this “new normal”, during the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, a soccer match with a live audience will be played for the first time since the start of the health contingency.

And the stadium where this first game with fans will take place will be nothing less than in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, where the locals host the Ciudad Juarez Braves.

The stadium known as El Kraken will welcome 8,000 spectators (30% of its capacity), who will want to see their team take the three points now under the command of their new head coach Tomás Boy, who was a player of that historic Mexican national team in 1986, and who He has a long history as technical director of professional soccer teams.

El Quimico declared that this will truly be a historic match since the fans of the port of Mazatlan have not been able to attend their new stadium to see their team play, because it was just about to be inaugurated when the quarantine began throughout the country.

Some have criticized this initiative, and we´ll see if the fans can really behave and keep a healthy distance at all times while inside the premises, wash their hands and use antibacterial gel.
