Playful orca caught on video near Cabo San Lucas

Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, (OEM-Informex) .- Celebrating with great emotion, the crew and passengers of a water activities boat in Cabo San Lucas were able to film an orca, jumping very close to the boat.

They are quite long-lived animals that live between 60 and 90 years and inhabit all the oceans of the planet, although they have a certain preference for cold waters.

The images were captured very close to the Cabo San Lucas bay, where the specimen can be seen jumping, apparently playing around. A natural spectacle that positively surprised the passengers.

This is not the first time that these specimens have been spotted in Los Cabos, or in the state, in fact, it is becoming more and more common to see them, many times in groups, as it is part of their nature.

According to National Geographic, these cetaceans are the largest predators in the oceans, weighing more than five tons and measuring up to nine meters. Known as Orca or also with the fearsome name of killer whales, it is the largest species included in the dolphin family.

Likewise, they highlight that its most representative characteristic is the dorsal fin, which can measure up to 1.80 meters and is atrophied when they remain in captivity. The black and white color that covers its body is also very peculiar, which identifies each individual in a unique way (like a digital print).

Their diet includes all sorts of animals from sea lions, seals, penguins, squid, octopus, turtles and even sharks.
