San Luis Potosí present in the first digital tourist expo

The Ministry of Tourism and San Luis Potosí service providers offered products to contribute to the reactivation of tourism in the state

San Luis Potosí, SLP.- San Luis Potosí participated in the first Tianguis Turístico Digital that took place on September 23 and 24, space where service providers offered their products to the more than 1,900 buyers and more than 40 countries that participated, as an opportunity to expand the positioning of the entity and contribute to the tourism recovery of the same, reported the Secretary of Tourism, Arturo Esper Sulaimán.   

The official clarified that it is a different digital event than the Tianguis de Pueblos Mágicos that will take place in San Luis Potosí in November in person since it is the result of the evolution of this event that was scheduled to take place in Mérida since March last, same that was postponed in-person to next year after the health contingency due to the COVID-19 pandemic.   

On the part of San Luis Potosí, there were at least 12 service providers who were present and promoted their products to make business appointments, and generate dynamism in the opening of tourism for future travel dates. In particular, to service providers that have their National Tourism Registry (RNT) in the State.   

The Ministry of Tourism explained that it was through a digital platform where our state was promoted, with video series from the four regions and material such as “The 12 must-sees of the capital”, “The mezcal routes”, “Huasteca Potosina, Altiplano and Middle Region ”. In addition to business tourism and nature and adventure products.   

“Each tour operator had its own stand, there was a virtual exhibition area, where the participants had access to the entire range of products and services, there was also a circle of buyers, work forums and conferences, a comprehensive overview to promote and learn about tourism in Mexico ”, expressed Esper Sulaimán.   

Finally, the Secretary of Tourism applauded this new experience, which he described as a challenge for the organizers, in this case, the government of Yucatán and the Federal Ministry of Tourism, considered that this type of events in this new normality can be increasingly frequent, although face-to-face will always be privileged.
