The body of a missing American citizen was found in Chiapas
Donald George Hopkins, 79, was found in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas, 48 hours after he was reported missing.
Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas (September 25th, 2020).- The body of an elderly US citizen who had been reported missing was located this Friday, September 25th, in the Cerrito area of San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas. This was reported by the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) .
Donald George Hopkins, 79, was found in that area 48 hours after a disappearance report issued by the Attorney General’s Office.
Experts and personnel of the forensic medical service came minutes after 2:00 p.m. to lift the body. After the discovery, the ministerial authority opened an investigation file to integrate the first expert evidence and determine the causes of death.
Hopkins’ spouse stated that the last time she saw him was last Wednesday, September 23rd, around 12:30 pm, in the La Merced neighborhood of San Cristóbal de las Casas.
