Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The New Sea of Cortez Aquarium could open its doors to the public in June 2021, according to the State Secretary of Tourism, Óscar Pérez Barros.
The official stressed that the new attraction is being launched in March, although entry to the entire site would be until the summer.
“We want to inaugurate the first stage in March and (have it) fully open to the public in June.”
Pérez Barros explained that the first stage would consist of “the main fish tanks and the entrance and all this, is to turn on the pumps, the fish tanks, and everything, it would be in March.”
The head of the Sectur stressed that the project is 40 percent complete.
