The Puebla Civil Protection Secretariat registered a sinkhole on the Tetela de Ocampo-Zacapoaxtla interserran highway, for which it asked the residents to avoid the area.
The softening occurred in the Auxiliary Board of Ometepetl of the Tetepexacatl community, in the municipality of Tetela de Ocampo.
Hours before, the authority reported that the road was cleared at km 154 of the Mexico-Tuxpan highway.
The heavy rains caused a mudslide in the area in the municipality of Xicotepec de Juárez.
