Mexican businessmen and other nationalities obtained permission from the Government of Belize to verify the conditions of the merchandise in commercial establishments on the border with Mexico within 24 hours.
In this way, the first step is taken to reopening the border area and its economic reactivation , while the Belize Chamber of Commerce underlined the willingness of the government of that country to restart activities as a result of the pandemic of the Covid-19 that caused the closure of the border with Mexico and the suspension of economic activities.
