To keep the beaches of Mazatlan clean is a priority for the municipal workers of this port.
During the clean-up operation all kinds of objects were found: plastic, glass, sticks, metal scrap and many others.
On Sunday, August 30, at 7:00 a.m., municipal workers, businessmen and the mayor of Mazatlán himself, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, arrived at Olas Altas beach to carry out the first cleaning day operation.
The event was organized by the Institute of Culture, but high officials (including the mayor) also participated.
The clean-up teams were distributed along various beach areas, and across the coastal boardwalk.
The motto of this important campaign is “Let’s Save the Ocean”
