Rosario, Sin.- May God give them life to see that justice was done to them, is the cry of hundreds of peasants, many of whom have been demanding payment for their lands that were used for the Tepic-Mazatlán highway for more than 10 years. .

Some members of the peasant movement that has been taking over the El Rosario booth for seven months stated that there have already been many comrades who in these more than 10 years have died awaiting justice.

“There are comrades who have stayed on the road, who unfortunately already overtook us and they did not have to see the justice we are demanding, they left without seeing that they were paid for their land,” said Cutberto Altamirano, a farmer from Ejido Gabriel Leyva Solano.

“There are many people who are already old, we are older, we know that there is not much life that we have left, but with the few strength that we have left, we are going to continue fighting for what is ours and they took it from us. bad, “said Raúl Herrera Guzmán.

They added that although these people have died, their rights remain in force through the children they had.

“There are the children or grandchildren of the companions who have already anticipated us, but it is not the same, it is not the same love for the earth, but if God wants justice to be done to us, they will receive what they receive. he touched his ancestors for their land “.

It should be remembered that more than 600 farmers from the municipalities of Mazatlán, Rosario and Escuinapa are included in this movement, who are demanding payment for the damages suffered by their lands with the construction of the Tepic-Mazatlán highway.
