MEXICO CITY (August 24, 2020).- The Secretary of Foreign Relations, Marcelo Ebrard, indicated that he is working closely with the Norwegian Foreign Minister, Ine Eriksen, to participate in the development of a vaccine against COVID-19, in conjunction with the Coalition for Innovations in Preparation for Epidemics (CEPI, for its acronym in English) and the United Nations.

On Twitter, the Norwegian Foreign Minister said that today she had a meeting with Ebrard, which she considered very productive and which, she said, adds to the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries.

“Good conversation with Marcelo Ebrard. Very happy to work with Mexico and CEPI to develop a vaccine against COVID-19”

“We look forward to cooperating closely with Mexico in the 2021-22 UN Security Council,” the official wrote.

Meanwhile, Marcelo Ebrard said that the meeting discussed the vaccine proposals of both countries before the CEPI and the UN.
