Mazatlan Carnival 2021 theme will be an adventure in time

This Saturday the event was held for the media to present the topic and calls for the 2021 edition of the Mazatlan International Carnival

Mazatlán.- Clocks, harlequins, and a wonderful world similar to that of Lewis Carroll’s stories, will take over the streets of La Perla del Pacifico, in the 2021 edition of the Mazatlán International Carnival that will be called:  “Lanao, a journey through the time “ .

This Saturday at 8:00 p.m., the ruins of the Villa Unión Textile factory dressed up in a party and fantasy to receive the media presentation event for the theme and calls for the 2021 edition of the Mazatlán International Carnival.

Clocky will be the tender protagonist who will take viewers on a journey back in time, to learn about universal history and of course, the greatest party that will be celebrating 123 years of existence.

With this, preparations begin for the great celebration that will take place from February 11 to 16.

As of this day and until September 23, the calls will be open to contest the candidacies for the titles of queen, king and children’s queens. 

Young women who want to aspire to candidates must be between 17 to 24 years old and single.

The girls candidates for child queen must be between 4 and 6 years old, finally, the requirements for king must only meet the age of majority, all candidates must be Mazatlan or have a minimum of three years of residence in the port.

This day the calls for the contests for the Clemencia Isaura Poetry Prize and the troupe contest were also opened.

Applications will be received at the offices of the Mazatlán Institute of Culture and Art Tourism, located at Av. Miguel Alemán 203, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
