The lansdslide took place at kilometer 153, of the Durango-Mazatlán highway, section corresponding to the neighboring state of Durango.

The constant rains that have occurred in the mountainous areas of Durango have caused the provisional closure of the land routes due to landslides that have been occurring.

Competent authorities of that state, reported that at kilometer 153, of the Durango-Mazatlán highway, a landslide took place, which completely blocked the highway, leaving both directions without circulation.

Authorities in that area, the Road Aid Brigade and Capufe, mobilized machinery to remove the stones and mud from the asphalt, managing to free a lane for a couple of minutes, however, the climate that prevails at this time does not help much.

Authorities cannot guarantee free passage for vehicles and decided to temporarily cut off traffic again, until further notice, in order to safeguard the integrity of motorists.
