Hours earlier, Hanna impacted Padre Island, Texas, approximately 20 km north of Port Mansfield, Texas, and 103 km north of Matamoros, Tamaulipas, with maximum sustained winds of 150 km / h, and gusts of 185 km. / h.

Likewise, low-pressure canals extended over the Yucatan Peninsula, the northwest and the center of the country, will cause very strong occasional rains in Colima, Durango, Jalisco, Michoacán, Nayarit, San Luis Potosí and Sinaloa, and strong in regions of Aguascalientes, Chihuahua, Mexico City, State of Mexico, Guerrero, Morelos, Sonora, Tlaxcala, and Zacatecas. The rains are expected to be accompanied by electric shocks, strong winds and possible hail, in addition to the fact that they could generate increases in the levels of rivers and streams, and flooding in low areas.

Wind gusts of 60 to 70 km / h are expected in Veracruz, and 50 to 60 km / h in Campeche, Quintana Roo, San Luis Potosí, Yucatán and Zacatecas.

The conditions described will be generated by Tropical Wave Number 21, which will be located south of Colima, low-pressure channels extended in different regions of the country, as well as the ingress of moisture from the Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific Ocean.
