Armed attack against Italian owner of ‘Mama Mia’ in Playa del Carmen (VIDEO)

PLAYA DEL CARMEN, Quintana Roo.- An alleged attempted execution or warning for an alleged ‘extortion’ was registered on Thursday afternoon when an Italian resident, owner of the ‘Mama Mia’ pizzerias in Playa del Carmen, was attacked when he was on board his car parked almost in front of his business, on Avenida 30 almost corner with Avenida 34.

The attacker, a man who was identified as a taxi driver, fired at the Mazda vehicle’s windshield, without visible plates, but without injuring the victim.

The alleged hitman fled and, according to unofficial information, he was detained on the CTM avenue that marks the beginning of the Colosio colony, although the Italian refused to identify him until this afternoon.
