Tropical Wave Number 16 leaves floods in the northern sector of Mazatlán

Camarón-Sábalo Avenue registered about three flooded areas, the first at the gas station, next to a fast-food place; the second in front of the Royal Villas hotel, and the third near Conapesca.

Mazatlán, Sinaloa (July 15, 2020) .- Rain forecasts for the port of Mazatlán were expected since Monday night and came through early on Tuesday morning.

The rain started around 6:00 am in the southern sector of Mazatlán and advanced to the northern sector, leaving flooding in the Golden Zone, La Marina Avenue, Rafael Buelna Avenue, and chaos Ejercito Nacional Avenue.

The National Meteorological Service reported that Tropical Wave Number 16 would leave heavy local rainfall in Chiapas, Colima, Durango, Guerrero, Jalisco, Michoacán, Nayarit, Oaxaca and Sinaloa.

Touring the streets, stranded vehicles could be observed up and down the road, in the area of La Marina Avenue, at the corner with Rafael Buelna.

Some cars needed the assistance of municipal cranes to get their vehicles out the water.

Camarón-Sábalo Avenue registered severe floodings and many vehicles resulted damaged in one way or another by the rivers that ran on the city streets.
