Located on the corner of Calle Genaro Estrada and Teniente Azueta, the property is now completely abandoned.

Mazatlán, Sinaloa (July 15, 2020).- Founded more than two decades ago, the Genaro Estrada clothing market, better known as Tianguis del Centro, this flea market is almost completely demolished. The business of the brothers Juan Ramón and Gabriel Zamora, founding tenants, is the only survivor.

Finally, the few vendors left, decided to “throw the towel” and they sent the “Tianguis” into the hands of oblivion.

The fact is, the future of this property is uncertain, whether new premises will be built or another type of business will be coming to life. The owner has not said anything yet.

The tianguis was inaugurated a little over 25 years ago.

  • In its beginnings, there were around 50 stores.
  • In December 2019 there were only 10.
  • Currently, only one place is open.
