19,000 people visited Mazatlan beaches last week

Mazatlán, Sinaloa (July 14, 2020).- An average of 19 thousand bathers, was registered last week in the application of the traffic light to avoid crowds on beaches, which seeks to prevent possible Covid-19 infections among the assistance.

Karina Torres, Coordinator of the Networks Operation, reported that the MZTOURIST APP awareness program is applied to each of the 30 beaches along the entire coastline of the port.

The areas of bathers considered as high risk, due to the influx of visitors they receive, are the island of Chivos, Isla de la Piedra, Olas Altas, Pinitos, Norte and Pueblo Bonito.

The official acknowledged that many of the people who go to the beaches do not know anything about the traffic light, so they invite attendees to keep a healthy distance and use mouth covers, mainly people who walk along the Malecon.

Precisely, she pointed out, from Monday to Sunday last they had a record of 54,950 people who used the boardwalk, who were invited to abide by the recommendations to keep distance and use mouth covers to avoid contagion of coronavirus.
