The beaches are open from 5 in the morning until 9 at night, but visitors need to follow strict guidelines for the use of the area.

Mazatlán, Sinaloa (July 1, 2020) .- The Mazatlán City Council and the State Government published a document entitled “Public Policies for the Use and Enjoyment of Beaches”, which points out guidelines for the reopening of businesses and public spaces in the so-called “New Normal”, in order to avoid crowding and stop the transmission of infections.

Guidelines say the beach access hours will go from 5 in the morning to 9 at night.

The beaches will not exceed 40 percent of their occupation, and for this, the healthy distance “Sana Distancia” (1.5 meters) will be monitored between each person.

At the same time, people will not be allowed to enter the beach in groups of more than 6 people.

Also, there will be sanitary filters in the “beach accesses”, in which the temperature of the visitors will be taken, antibacterial gel will be provided and there will be rules to be respected.

Access to motorized vehicles and crowds will be prohibited, as well as the introduction of glass or crystal containers.

Another protocol suggests the virtual establishment of non-contiguous spaces of at least 25 square meters with a minimum separation of 2 to 3 linear meters between them, and the establishment of a pedestrian corridor on the beach shore with an upper limit set by high tide.

This and other applicable protocols for different public spaces can be consulted on the page http://wvw.mazatlan.gob.mx/?page_id=23116 in which all the protocols for the tourist reopening are explained in full detail.
