They issue recommendations to avoid being affected

Sinaloa. .- The National Center for Disaster Prevention in its technical file No. 40, informs that with the changes in meteorological conditions the phenomenon known as “Dust of the Sahara”, on its tour of the country Sinaloa will arrive this Sunday.

According to the report, tomorrow Monday will be when the dust clouds in the state become more visible, so on Tuesday, atmospheric conditions are expected to return to normal, the Director of the State Institute of Civil Protection of Sinaloa Juan Francisco reported. Vega Meza.

In states like Veracruz, the phenomenon was reported as a dense haze and with light winds, so the amounts of dust particles that entered the country from the Sahara desert do not represent a significant danger to the population.

Year after year, this phenomenon reaches national territory, although not always with the same intensity.

The increase in dust in the environment does mean an aggravation for those who suffer from chronic respiratory diseases such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or those who are affected by Covid-19.

The State Institute of Civil Protection recommends attending to the following recommendations:

-Keep at home, mainly people with previous chronic respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, older adults, pregnant women and children, use protectors.

-If you have a foreign body sensation in your eyes, wash them with plenty of water.

-Cover water sources such as ponds, containers or storage ponds.

In case of high concentrations:

-Avoid exposing yourself to high concentrations of dust.

-Get safe and avoid air inlets to the house or workplace.

-If it is necessary to be outdoors, use a mask and glasses or a handkerchief.
