As in these types of cases, the victim’s attorney demanded a prompt response and an investigation, since the State Attorney General’s Office has not prosecuted the case for more than a month.

Authorities from the municipality of San Pablo Huitzo denounced through a statement the participation of their police officers in the arrest of the two minors, which led to the death of one of them.

“We know that nothing will bring the young Diego Luna Paz back to life and we join the family’s demand for justice, the community supports his demand,” says the document released publicly.

The authority said that it will provide full support to the State Attorney General’s Office, the body in charge of investigating the murder of the young man, however organizations are asking for precautionary measures for the young man and his family.

“We will not tolerate any case of impunity. Those who are responsible will be punished”, declared the mayor.
