Mazatlán, Sinaloa (May 16, 2020).- Although there is still no definite date for the opening of hotels in Mazatlán, there are already people interested in visiting the destination during the summer and fall; José Ramón Manguart Sánchez confirmed.
The president of the Tres Islas Hotel Association stated that in the hotels located on Del Mar Avenue, there is barely 10% of reservations for July, August, October, and November.
For this reason, he considered that it will be decisive to focus prevention on health, so that there is no second outbreak of infections, and affects the development that is taking place in the economic revival in the port.
Manguart Sánchez commented that they will wait for the precise actions and guidelines that the Ministry of Health indicates to them so that the tourism sector begins to work in June.
The hotel manager indicated that at the moment the number of employees who will return or will be hired is unknown since it depends on the solvency that each hotelier has, so the issue will have to be seen with each employer.
However, he hopes that this gradual revival can benefit everyone, since, he says, everyone in the port knows the importance of taking care of the destination and the tourist, which generates a large number of direct and indirect jobs.
10% of reservations are being made for July, August, October, and November, in the hotels along Del Mar Avenue
