Elements of the National Guard seized three packages with apparent marijuana that were hidden among canned pumpkin, in a courier and parcel company located in the municipality of MazatlánSinaloa.

The Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection reported that upon inspecting the parcel of said company, national guards carried out a reconnaissance with a canine couple who modified their behavior on three plastic buckets that were destined for the city of MonterreyNuevo León.

Thus, the insured was transferred and made available to the corresponding ministerial authority, who will continue with the investigations to determine the exact type and weight of the substance.

In another operation on the federal highway to Culiacán, Sinaloa, elements of the National Guard detained a man who was traveling in a passenger bus in possession of 900 thousand pesos in cash, without checking his legal provenance.

It was at kilometer 001 + 800 of the Benito Juárez highway, section: Culiacán-Las Brisas, where national guards asked the bus driver to stop his march for a routine check-up.

It is pointed out that one of the passengers showed an evasive attitude and tried to hide a backpack under his seat, so they asked for his consent to open it; They located various stacks of bills of different denominations.

As they did not have the documentation to prove the legal possession and transfer, the Passenger’s Book of Rights Assisting Persons in Detention was read to the passenger, the National Detention Registry was filled with his data and was made available to the Federal Public Ministry.
