Street vendors, mainly handicrafts, in different parts of the city exchange their products for food supplies or other support. Many workers operated on the beaches.
Sinaloa Online spoke with two vendors and one of them, Abraham Valdés, said that their sales have fallen before the closure of the beaches and to be able to support the family they have to see how to sell or exchange their crafts.
The young Valdés thanked the solidarity of the people, who sometimes even give them 50 or 100 pesos and do not want to take any product. Sellers advertise with small signs where they offer the exchange.
He said that they have backpacks, bags, and bracelets. The backpack is worth 150 and up to 170 on the beach.
