The Government of Mazatlán delivered a total of 180 food pantries to riverside fishing cooperatives and clowns, jobs that have been affected by the health emergency caused by Covid-19.
During the work tour, Mayor Luis Benítez said that, due to the situation in the world due to the coronavirus, several productive sectors have been affected, hence his government is working to bring this type of aid to those who they need.
“To be able to support the fishermen, who due to the situation we live in Mazatlán, do not even have to eat. There are several cooperatives, in total there are 180 (pantries), one more that is being reported right now (…), it is work that we do from the heart, ”he said.
Five cooperatives received this benefit, whose managers will be in charge of distributing the aid among their members.
In addition, support was given to 15 clowns who, due to the prohibition of large-scale celebrations, have run out of spaces where to give moments of joy.
The mayor added that the Municipality will continue with this work, and in the following days, it will attend to other sectors that are having a hard time due to this health contingency.
