Water main breaks in downtown Mazatlan reports Jumapam

Mazatlan historic center and nearby neighborhoods will be without water or with little pressure, reported Jumapam

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Due to the works for the remodeling of the Gutiérrez Nájera Avenue, the drinking water pipeline was accidentally broken, so during the course of the day a part of the City Center and some surrounding neighborhoods will be without water or with little pressure.

Jumapam’s Operations Management was informed of the failure and immediately proceeded to close the valves to carry out the repairs corresponding to the 10-inch diameter pipeline that supplies an important sector of the city.

“There will be a circuit to put a little water through the downtown area, the water will not be completely cut, there will be low pressures,” said engineer Luis Gerardo Núñez Gutiérrez, Operations Manager for Jumapam.

With the closing of valves, the affected area goes from the Center to Insurgentes Avenue and Avenida del Mar, where the Reforma, Ferrocarrilera, Palos Prietos, Tellerías, Tierra y Libertad, Insurgentes, Brisas del Mar, and San Ángel neighborhoods are located, among others.
