Mazatlan faces an accelerated rate of infections

Sinaloa Coronavirus: 165 deaths and 1,030 confirmed as of May 2

As of May 2, the Sinaloa Ministry of Health confirmed 81 new patients infected with the SARS Cov-2 virus

MAZATLAN.- Sinaloa continues as the fourth state with the highest number of Covid-19 deaths in the country; just behind Mexico City, which is 451, Baja California, with 235 and the State of Mexico, with 191, report the Health authorities.

This Saturday it was reported that in the last 24 hours 6 more people died, 4 of them in Culiacán, one more in Navolato and another in Mazatlán.

The report of the state Health Secretariat indicates that Mazatlán is having an accelerated number of infections since in the last 24hr 22 positive cases of Covid-19 were registered from 44 to 66.

Culiacán remains at the head of the state, registering 116 of the total of these deaths and is in second place in the nation among the municipalities with the highest fatality due to the virus that has killed thousands of people around the world.
