Playa Del Carmen police officers stranded in Peru return home

PLAYA DEL CARMEN, MX.- After a month and a week after they left for Peru to be trained, but where they ended up stranded when the borders closed, today 11 elements of the Municipal Solidarity Police finally returned to the municipality.

The agents had come to that South American country to participate in an international professionalization course, on March 14, but shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic emerged, by which the Peruvian government decreed the closure of its borders, leaving these agents without being able to return to Mexico, until now.

The municipal government maintained contact with them, paying for their stay in foreign lands, until they returned, being received today at the Cancun International Airport by the Secretary of Public Security, Jorge Robles Aguilar

Interestingly, the agents got first in this course
