Nine municipal officials infected in Tijuana, including the Chief of Police

At least nine municipal officials have been infected in Tijuana, the Department of Social Communication of the City Council reported on April 22. In fact, two public servants have died from the same cause.

Among those infected, is the director of Police and Municipal Transit, Roberto Esparza Trujillo, who is under domestic protection for his recovery and is reported stable.

The director of Social Communication, Miguel Ángel Larre, summarized that of the nine patients, three are in serious condition; four are reported outpatient; one more is stable and another one was discharged on April 22.

According to what was reported in the name of Tijuana mayor Arturo González, the Municipal Palace will continue with sanitary filters in its accesses, limiting the entrance exclusively to carry out essential procedures, although it encourages citizens to do it through the municipality’s official website.
