Eight young people have decided to unite their talent to seek the help of people in these difficult days

Mazatlán, Sin.- Says the saying that “God helps the early riser”, and so did several musicians from the region, who came together to play on one of the many road cruises in Mazatlán, with the sole objective of collecting resources to bring livelihood to their homes.

Narciso Lizárraga is from the community of El Huajote, municipality of Concordia, who, like his bandmates, has not had a job for 40 days.

We already have, since this coronavirus roll began, we have battled him solid, we have to take the potato to the house, we have to look for him anyway.

Although what happened is understood, he acknowledged that the Easter period hit music workers hard, who could not work due to the closure of beaches and commercial establishments.

While other musicians do the same thing in the afternoon, he mentioned, they decided to ask the citizens for their support by playing from 7:00 to 10:00 in the morning, between the North International Highway and Revolution Avenue.

So far, he said, they have not received support from the authorities, with the exception of the help provided by the citizens, who come across them on foot or by car.

From one to 20 pesos, the music workers receive the help of the people, who gladly give the economic contribution while they wait for the change of the traffic light.

Melodies such as “El Corrido de Mazatlán”, “Juan Martha” and “Los Amores de Julia” are part of the repertoire of these young people.

The musicians assure that they will continue with their “concerts” on the streets, since they do not have the economic resources to survive, given the difficult situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
