Coppel department store closed down in Mazatlán for not complying with health measures.
Only the bank area was supposed to remain open to the public, but the indications were not respected.
Mazatlán, Sinaloa (April 18, 2020) .- For failing to comply with the official provisions agreed to mitigate the spread of Coronavirus, the State Institute of Civil Protection and the Directorate of Labor and Social Welfare shut down the Coppel store located at Plaza Forum shopping center, in Culiacán, and once again exhorted all non-essential businesses to respect the restrictions.
According to the authorities, the store could be open to serve only and exclusively users in its bank located inside the premises, since financial services are considered essential, but enabling a corridor without allowing customers to circulate in the rest of the store.
During the review, it was found that the store was operating normally, and without having an exclusive access corridor to the bank area.
For this reason, authorities proceeded to close the business and put closure stamps on the entrance. This is the first department store shut down during the Covid-19 health contingency in the state of Sinaloa.
