10 HEINEKEN Mexico distribution units will be responsible for moving 13,800 food packages to 9 communities.

In response to the difficult times the country is going through, the Government of Sonora began to take action to meet the needs of the poorest communities in the state; and HEINEKEN México joined these actions.

The brewery made 10 of its distribution units available to the authorities to move 13,800 food packages to 9 local communities as part of the Emerging Food Security Plan (PESA), operated by the Sonora Ministry of Social Development (SEDESSON).

Food distribution will take place in: Nogales, Magdalena, Puerto Peñasco, San Luis Río Colorado, Caborca, Etchojoa, Huatabampo, Alamos and Navojoa.

As part of the delivery logistics, HEINEKEN Mexico had 10 distribution vehicles that will be driven by its collaborators, who will be accompanied by two assistants.

The people involved in the distribution will work with strict adherence to the sanitary measures for the prevention of coronavirus infections, so before going on the route they will go through the filtering protocol recommended by the Ministry of Health. This with the aim of protecting their safety and health, as well as that of those who will receive the donations.

In this way, the coordinated action between HEINEKEN Mexico and the Government of Sonora reaffirms their commitment to work together to mitigate the impacts that the epidemiological contingency of COVID-19 is causing among the population that, together with its condition of poverty, is being affected by the decrease or loss of their income.
