There are 40 graves with three departments each that were released for the remains of those who could perish due to this global pandemic.

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The director of Municipal Public Services, José Antonio González Olague, announced that spaces have been set up for people who unfortunately could die due to contagion by the new Covid-19 Coronavirus.

The municipal official said that these lots are located available in the municipal cemetery “Jardín”, number 4 and consist of 40 graves with three departments each, which would mean a total of 120 spaces.

“They are unfavorable situations that have happened in other places and we hope that in our case this is not the case, we have those spaces that the judge has already released for us, and that they would be used in case we have the problem,” he added.

Regarding the alleged two deaths by COVID-19 in the port, he said he was unaware of this situation since no family member appeared to ask for permission to bury them in any municipal cemetery.

“Specifically I need to investigate how it was because I do not know what is marking the conditions of this type of disease and I am going to review it, because I am not aware of what really happened to this, but it is very likely that it was in a particular cemetery. I am going to see it right now “he concluded.
