Coronavirus cases in Yucatan increase to four Government could close beaches

The Yucatan Health Secretariat announced at a press conference that the number of coronavirus cases in the state has increased to four, for which the population is asked to take extreme precautions to avoid risks of contagion.

Basic measures such as washing your hands frequently with soap and water, covering your mouth or nose when sneezing, in case you are sick do not leave the home and avoid contact with people who have the flu or cough.

Similarly, it was reported that of the first 8 cases, 5 of them were negative, 2 positive and 1 is still in deeper studies. Likewise, 8 suspicious cases were presented today, of which 1 more was positive and the remaining 7 are under analysis, said Mauricio Sauri Vivas.

Police ask visitors to Progreso to leave due to Covid-19

PROGRESO YUCATAN- On this Monday of state quarantine, the elements of the Municipal Police toured the boardwalk from 3 in the afternoon, to ask visitors who were on the beach to leave and return to their homes.

Patrolling was one of the measures against the health emergency due to the Covid-19 coronavirus .

It’s not vacation

Videos are circulating on social networks in which the police are seen alerting the population and stressing that “it is not a vacation” , but most of the walkers ignored the recommendations.

Visitors stopped in Progreso

Shortly after noon, the Municipal Police installed an information checkpoint at the entrance to Progreso in which agents recommended that visitors not be in crowded places due to the coronavirus emergency,  do not go to the beach and stay at home.
