Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- On Tuesday, the ARM “BONAMPAK” PC-339 Coastal Patrol arrived in Mazatlan, which, as of last May, 2019, registered in the Eighth Fleet of Surface Units, attached to the Fourth Naval Zone and which is already part of the Fourth Naval Region.
This patrol vessel has 18 elements that are trained and trained to operate the vessel as an integral part of the operations entrusted to the Mexican Navy Secretariat, in order to maintain the rule of law at sea.
The reception was attended by the Vice Admiral, Commander of the Fourth Naval Zone, Rafael López Martínez, representing the Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, the Secretary of the City Council, José de Jesús Flores Segura and special guests were present.
The main objective of this ship is to carry out surveillance, interdiction, deterrence, search, rescue, rescue and combat illicit operations, in order to maintain the rule of law and safeguard human life in Mexican marine areas.
In turn, its design and characteristics allow this vessel to develop adequate operating speeds, face adverse weather conditions and maintain constant vigilance in the Mexican seas, highlighting its excellent seaworthy performance.
