Video: Canadians rescued after their truck collided with a passenger bus on the Mazatlan- Tepic Hwy

At least six people injured, and thousands of pesos in material damage, is the balance of the crash between a truck and a passenger bus on the Mazatlan-Tepic highway, in the Escuinapa area.

According to the police report, the units involved are a Chevrolet truck, gray in color, with foreign license plates, which was pulling a camper trailer, which was driven by 75-year-old Bruce “N”, who was accompanied by his wife Merie. same age, both domiciled in Canada. 

The other unit involved is a passenger bus of the Primera Plus line.

The truck was running from north to south, while the truck was traveling in the opposite direction, when one of the two units arrived at kilometer 180 of the toll road and invaded lane and caused the crash.

Due to the impact, the truck practically broke in two, the Canadian couple being trapped inside, while the bus went off the road and fell into a drainage ditch, the driver being trapped.

The passengers of the bus managed to get off and ask for help, with the presence of elements of the Voluntary Firefighters, Civil Protection, Red Cross and agents of the Municipal Police and Traffic as well as the National Guard, Civil Division.

All, with the help of the jaws of life, focused on rescuing the Canadians trapped in the units, to transfer them to the General Hospital; the circulation was totally closed both ways.
