Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- This morning the port of Mazatlan woke up with a new monument, it is a woman facing the sea, holding a handkerchief in farewell, which is located on the Paseo Olas Altas, in front to the Freeman hotel.

The appearance of the statue surprised passers-by, due to the current social and political context, where women called for a halt to femicides and gender violence, with a demonstration and the #NationalParaNational.

However, at that location it was reported that the name of the monument is Bella Lola and refers to the Havana women of the naval culture, which pays tribute to the families of the sailors within the framework of the Felinautica, in which they will be held various cultural activities open to all public.
