SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The National City Chamber of Commerce is set to present the 8th annual International Mariachi Festival.
The festival celebrates San Diego’s widespread Mexican heritage through Mariachi music, traditional ballet folkloric dancing and a series of efforts highlighting arts, culture and culinary contributions. The family-friendly festival spotlights mariachi musicians from across the United States and Mexico, as well as young student mariachi groups.
The full-scale cultural celebration of mariachi music, traditional folkloric dance and art is expected to draw thousands of fans and spectators to the South Bay. The fesitival begins this Sunday, March 8th at 11:00am until 7:00pm at Chula Vista’s Bayside Park.
The International Mariachi Festival will have an onsite Family Pavilion, complete with face painting, caricaturist, live street art and much more!
