Mazatlan, Sinaloa. – This Thursday begins the Mazatlan Carnival 2020, and catamaran operators already have the corresponding permits to operate during the Naval Combat.

The port captain of Mazatlan, José Enrique Mora Reyes, confirmed that water tourism permit holders have requested permits to provide the service on Saturday night.

He commented that there will be 30 boats between catamarans and yachts of La Marina, El Cid, and Fonatur, which will be able to tour the bay and enjoy naval combat at a time of 8:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, permits were delivered to 30 smaller vessels that can provide the service during the Carnival Saturday night

Mora Reyes explained that the 30 pleasure boats that requested the permit were previously reviewed and inspected so that they meet the requirements for navigation and safety.

Generally, these tourist boats are regular in their certificates, however previously a recognition and verification is made to the vessels that comply with the regulations of the navigation law, and none presented any problem

He also warned that if by Saturday night, conditions are not optimal for navigation, some restrictions would be taken so as not to put occupants at risk.

The permit states that if the weather conditions are favorable, they will be allowed to leave, and if they are adverse, it will be canceled.
